My life in the first semester was as busy as I had expected. I had a class that started at 8:00am Monday through Thursday, and it was so difficult for me to get to class on time. I had lots of assignments that had to be done every week. They weren't worth many marks, but they were very helpful for my own understanding of the content.

**學(xué)期的學(xué)習(xí)生活正和預(yù)期的一樣忙碌。周一到周四早上8點(diǎn)我有一堂課，準(zhǔn)時(shí)到教室對(duì)我來說很困難。每周都有很多必須要做的作業(yè)。這些作業(yè)并不占多少分?jǐn)?shù)，但在建立我對(duì)課堂內(nèi)容的理解上很有幫助。

At first it was hard for me to manage my time well. When I recall what I was doing last semester in Grade 12 every day, I realize that I wasted most of my time in the afternoon, and thus I had to stay up till midnight or even later in order to have my work done. I decided not to repeat this mistake this semester.

最初時(shí)間管理對(duì)我來說有困難。當(dāng)回想起在12年級(jí)最后一個(gè)學(xué)期的日常學(xué)習(xí)生活，我意識(shí)到我浪費(fèi)了大量下午時(shí)光，導(dǎo)致要熬夜到半夜甚至更晚才能完成作業(yè)?，F(xiàn)在我決定不再重復(fù)那個(gè)學(xué)期的錯(cuò)誤做法。

As for my spare time, I'm usually with my friends. I'm usually on my computer when I am alone, and I go shopping or workout with my friends. I visit my professors during their office hours for extra help, and three of my professors can even call my name when they see me!

至于我的空閑時(shí)間，通常我和朋友在一起。一個(gè)人的時(shí)候通常是在電腦前，有時(shí)候和朋友一起逛街或健身。在老師的**時(shí)間內(nèi)我會(huì)去找我的教授尋求額外幫助?，F(xiàn)在有三個(gè)教授見到我時(shí)甚至能叫出我的名字。

I've heard many of my peers saying that their university life is too busy and too difficult. I have the same feeling to some extent, but not so extreme. The reason for it is that I did 8 courses in Grade 12, including English, Pre-Calculus, IT, PE, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Geography. These courses helped me with many of my first year courses, and the tight schedule got me familiar with busy life.

我已經(jīng)聽過很多同學(xué)說他們的大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)生活太忙碌太艱難了，某種程度上我有同感，但不完全認(rèn)同。原因是在12年級(jí)時(shí)我選修了8門課程，*括英語，微積分預(yù)科，IT，體育，微積分，物理，化學(xué)和地理。這些課程對(duì)我大學(xué)一年級(jí)的許多課程都有幫助，并且緊張的課程安排也讓我熟悉了忙碌的學(xué)習(xí)生活。

Many of the Grade 12 courses will help students a lot in first-year university courses, even if the content is very different. For example, I did IT 12 with Mr. Lindholm in Grade 12, and we learned Python programming in that course. That actually helped me a lot in my first year computer programming course.

許多12年級(jí)課程雖然內(nèi)容不同。但對(duì)許多大學(xué)一年級(jí)課程學(xué)習(xí)都有幫助。例如， Lindholm老師的IT12課程講到的Python編程實(shí)際上有助于我的大學(xué)一年級(jí)計(jì)算機(jī)編程課。在楓華中學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)的關(guān)鍵意義是為了大學(xué)課程學(xué)習(xí)做好準(zhǔn)備，意識(shí)到這一點(diǎn)對(duì)楓華學(xué)生來說會(huì)很重要。

In addition, as most of the students have to do four or five courses every semester in university in order to get a degree on time, it is a good idea for them to get familiar with busy life prior to getting into university. As a result, to better survive in university, I do recommend Sino kids to take a lot of courses in Grade 12, not just the one required for graduation. It is important for Sino students to realize that the point of coming to Sino is to get prepared for university.
